Little Ninjas

The Little Ninjas Program is a very unique and detailed Karate system that helps prepare your child for life. Each class is done in a fun and exciting environment that allows young children to learn while engaging in martial arts activities.

Your Child Will Achieve More Than Just Learning to Kick and Punch

The Little Ninjas activities will keep your child physically fit and teach them the importance of fitness along with the group activities that show children the benefits of good behavior. But, best of all, your child's class curriculum will also help them see the value of teamwork, good manners and trying their best outside of the classroom.

Life Skills

Your child will soon learn the 8 life skills that are taught and repeated throughout the 8 weeks sessions. During each class one life skill is taught through exciting drills and games that the kids love to play!

8 SKILLS
Focus Memory
Teamwork Discipline
Self-Control Fitness
Balance Coordination

FOCUS: Focus plays a key role in the mindset of the Little Ninjas. These young students have a limited attention span. Your child will learn how to focus on the task at hand. As a parent you will see this quality skill help your child's aim, listening and reaction skills. They will excel faster in any physical activity. Your child will also become a better listener and a more focused student in school.

TEAMWORK: Teaching teamwork to children is very important. Your child will be exposed to positive interaction with other children. By having an organized game plan and instructor supervision, your child will learn together with others and have fun in the process. The more confidence your child shows towards working with others, the more they will get accomplished in life. Your child will develop character, which will help him/her make new friends and become a better leader in life.

CONTROL: Control will help your child respond and perform correctly. They will strive to be cool, which means not losing their temper and not being too rough. As a parent you will understand that having control means making good decisions. Whether your child is handling a pet or handling a problem, your child will learn to make the right decisions with good control. Control builds confidence in children.

BALANCE: Balance is an important skill for your child to develop good martial arts techniques in class. It will also increase their speed and agility. Balance especially leads to good posture, which will make your child appear more confident. This skill is crucial at an early age. Your child is beginning to participate in many physical activities that are challenging, like riding a two-wheel bicycle.

MEMORY: As your child begins to develop this valuable skill they will begin to retain techniques and lessons that are taught in class. Developing memory is a good exercise for your child's brain. The sooner your child exercises, the bigger and smarter they will be. Our drills are constantly helping your child think and make smart decisions.

DISCIPLINE: Discipline is what martial arts are based upon. Our trained Little Ninjas instructors will teach your child how to discipline themselves to have self-control. By using the Little Ninjas drills our instructors help create the vision that discipline is fun and rewarding. Your child will take pride in doing the right thing. They will also follow directions better.

FITNESS: Being physically fit is a necessity for any martial artist. The sooner your child sees that fitness can be fun they will develop a passion for exercise early. We make fitness so fun that it is their favorite time. Children love to run and animate and our instructors animate along with them.

COORDINATION: One of the best benefits of training in the martial arts is that it creates coordination. This skill is important if your child wants to participate in sports. The better coordination they have the better athlete they will be. Your child will learn their left from their right. The better coordination they have, the less injuries they are likely to have.

Here are a few comments from parents who currently have their children enrolled in our program.

"I initially enrolled my son, Brody, into classes at the Okinawan School of Karate to improve his coordination. Also, to be with other children, since, at the time, we had no little neighbors. Brody has been attending classes for almost two years. He has achieved his goals, and graduated from the "Little Ninjas" into the Junior Kids program. Brody has met many new friends. The instructors are "Family People" and take time to know each student. They are the best!!! The Karate camps they offer are loaded with fun, and educational things to do. The camps are very well supervised. In Brody's words "200 times awesome" (he is 6 yrs. old). Brody has recently enrolled into a soccer program. His eye-hand and eye-foot coordination is fantastic. Thanks to Karate teaching him to "focus" he has made some great blocks and kicks. Brody excels in everything new that he tries. He has gained a "Can Do - Black Belt attitude!" I also enjoy the kickboxing, and Powertone classes. Most people start out enrolling one student, and before you know, the whole family gets involved in the classes offered. Thank-you to all of the instructors and their helpers for making a "positive place" for "families" to go. We are looking forward to the first competition. The classes are great exercise and good for the cardiovascular system."

"My daughter is enrolled at the Okinawan School of Karate. She has been enrolled for about a year now. She started at an early age because I felt that she needed some challenges. I wanted her to learn how to be more disciplined, attentive, and coordinated. She has proven that she can do all three. Not only has she learned these but has also become fit, has learned control, how to focus, and to balance much better. I feel that one of the benefits she has gained from karate is learning how to work with others in teamwork. She gets to interact with other children and learn how to become a better friend. She has gained many new friends and this will help her when she goes into the public school. My daughter is now a green character belt in the Little Ninjas program and she is very determined to graduate into the children's class, probably at a very young age. The staff at the Okinawan School of Karate are great also. My daughter loves all the instructors. They are so friendly to her and pay alot of attention to her. Thank you for everything.

Our son Blake has improved his confidence in his abilities through Karate. He seems to concentrate on the activites that the teachers at the Okinawan School of Karate are asking him to learn. Karate has reinforced the need for respect of adults and other kids in the class. He really enjoys getting his new belts and medals. We are so proud of him and his new abilities. He truly understands that karate should not be used in agression, but in self defense. The exercise each week is good as well. Thanks to OSK.
